Rich Rodriguez: Dick

I don’t blame the man for taking the job.  Anyone in that position would have made the same decision, and good for him.  But seriously, he couldn’t stay around long enough to coach the Fiesta Bowl?  Way to screw over your old players, bro. Joe Manchin was also was less than diplomatic:

“Something is wrong with the profession of college coaching today when a leader’s word is no longer his bond.”

Meanwhile, neckfro sends along this little gem.

Why don’t blame him – I do. Is there no loyalty anymore?

All also blame him for attempting to steal our recruits:

It’s hard for me to be upset, since it’s my team benefiting. But I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little torn. Naturally, I liked seeing WVU dominate a conference, second tier or not. I feel bad for WVU and sympathize with their plight (but come on, Michigan with a chance to beat Ohio State again?? HELL yeah.)

Rod could coach the Fiesta Bowl because Carr is still coaching Michigan in the Capital One Bowl. But it’s pretty common for a new coach to jet like that. He’s got to start recruiting. There’s no way our current QB is going to fit into his offensive style (thank god, actually).

They’re already saying “In Rod we trust” in Ann Arbor.
