Random Windows Question

I have a screen saver that didn’t come with XP.  How do I add it to the menu of screen savers in the display menu?

There’s a folder somewhere with the screensaver files, which I believe are *.scr. Find that folder and put your new one in there. It’s probably under SYSTEM32 or whatever that folder is called. Not sure if this will work, since this doesn’t touch the registry.

I would have thought that the screensaver you downloaded would include an installer that would do this stuff for you. It’s best if you can find the installer and run it.

So what is it? Remember cyclics? Or that fractal one we used to have? Man, those were the days. All playin’ 3D-Boxing, then going to smoke a bowl, coming back and cyclics is running… Ahh, highschool.

It is cyclics. I had it on a 3.5 floppy which I finally got around to transferring recently. I can run it as a regular file, just not as a screen saver. Does this mean we have something to do next weekend?
