Remember me?

June 9, 2006 at 7:21 pm (Uncategorized)

I had a blog once, that I often posted stuff to.  Ah, the good old days.

In other news, I went 28.5 years without listening to Yes, and I'm not sure how.

I played Yes a ton in my Jeep. You heard the album Fragile several times in my car in highschool, I’m sure of it (or at least a few songs off it). Surely you heard Roundabout and Long Distance Run Around on Z106.

I went on my real Yes kick in early college though. I found Tommy by The Who complimented my Yes albums well, but your mileage may vary.

I’ve Seen All Good People may be my favorite, but not the part the song is named after. Damn, now I’m pissed that I’m in Florida with only two CDs, neither of which are Yes.

    See also: Supertramp.

I am listening to Yesterdays constantly–Astral Traveller is the only hit on that one. I have about 5 songs going through my head at all times. And I completely disagree with the Supertramp analogy, but admittedly I only have their greatest hits album.

It wasn’t really meant as an analogy. I always consider Yes, Supertramp, and Steely Dan to form some kind of prog rock super trilogy. I don’t know why, they all have the same vibe to me.
