The national Libertarian convention is coming to Portland.

Others on the guest list include former U.S. Rep. Bob Barr of Georgia and musician Krist Novoselic, who played bass for Nirvana.

Wow, that’s some tent.  Come as you are, I suppose.

Yay

I finally have semi-regular internet access, that doesn’t involve driving 10 miles into town and sitting in front of a nasty library terminal running Internet Explorer.  Sometime very soon I will provide a whirlwind update of my first week on the coast.  For anyone with an extra 3 million dollars lying around, you should know that the town of Otis is for sale.  That is apparently not a joke, and the diner is actually really good.  While you are counting your pennies, I will leave you with this:

Armpit hair is really, really unattractive, no matter who you are.

Lessons learned

June 13, 2006 at 6:12 am (Uncategorized)

There is a 400 page book on the Denver airport called "Lessons Learned."  It is typical of major planning projects to revisit things a few years later and examine all the things you did wrong.  I, as a student of planning, recently (2 hours ago) completed what was probably the most stressful 10 week period of my life, and I learned a valuable lesson.  This is something I could only have learned through neglecting a usually very important component of daily life for an extended period, so listen closely

Never buy generic ant traps: they don't work for shit.  However, spraying generic Windex on the line of traffic can cause a massive case of acute toxicity.

That is all.  I plan on starting up here again regularly soon, including a long delayed shout-out to Grundle the Blog; at least I no longer have an excuse not to.

Remember me?

I had a blog once, that I often posted stuff to.  Ah, the good old days.

In other news, I went 28.5 years without listening to Yes, and I'm not sure how.
