Ok, I probably am the first to say this: Firefox sucks. It blows goats. Give me IE any day of the week.

please list specifics so i can begin to thoroughly out-debate you on this issue!

Ok…it’s slower. I get a message that says “connection timed out when attempting to contact…” ALL THE TIME. It recently told me that does not exist. I just went to open up the browser and it told me that the default profile was active and made me create a new one. I now have no way to go back to the default profile and I lost all of my bookmarks. There’s no mention of “user profiles” or equivalent it in their help file or on the website. I’m angry, hungover, and you spilled sake on me.

1.’connection timed out’far superior message than that annoying microsoft error page that replaces the url with some piece of shit code that requires you to reenter all of the information2. does not existhit OK and then hit enter to retry the website…big deal, it’ll reload3. default profile problem:Goto Bookmarks, Manage BookmarksGoto File, Import, Choose From FileNavigate to following folder:C:\Documents and Folders\(your user name)\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\ProfilesLook for unique profile folder and open it…Click on bookmarks.html and open.if this works and you restore your bookmarks…then follow the directions above and instead do an export and goto step 4.4. since you’re having so much trouble, it’s probably a software problem on your machine. go to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, and remove Firefox. then reload it. it should recognize your previous installations and automatically reinstall your settings. you may have to re-import the bookmarks.html file you exported before.5. you’re hungover BY CHOICE; and i’m more upset over spilling my sake on you than you are…

Spare me your technocratic mumbo-jumbo…it also keeps asking me if I want it to remember passwords…your best option is “never for this site” but it should have the “don’t ask to remember any more passwords” option that IE has. And the google toolbar doesn’t have a drop-down menu with recent search histroy. There was something else too but I can’t remember what it is.

You can add, subtract, and customize features all you want. And yes, it will remember your search history…as if that were

next time you get that default profile bs, hit ctrl-alt-delete and look in the process list. Select firefox.exe and end its process. You’ll be able to start it up normally after that.nice site btw.

I ran Firefox for a bit and didn’t like it. I still run good ‘ole Mozilla though. The tabs alone make it far better.

Ok, I’m uniformed. Why are you guys running alternate browsers? Does this decrease virus transmission?

  10. booyah said,
